  8. ANNOUNCEMENT: Mod for the ADI AR-147
  9.  
  10. AD content:
  11. This mod will open the transceiver on the ADI AR-147 from 130 to 179
  12. MHz. I have done it and it does work!!! (NOTE: MODIFICATION TO ANY RADO
  13. EQUIPMENT VOIDS THE WARRANTY! DO NOT PERFORM THIS MOD IF YOU HAVE ANY
  14. DOUBTS!)

  16. 1. Remove the screws on the bottom (2 screws) and remove the cover.
  17.  
  18. 2. You will see two red jumpers. One is a loop coming up from the LCD
  19. panel, the other is on the board itself. Cut both of these wires.
  20.  
  21. 3. Replace the bottom cover.
  22.  
  23. 4. Turn the radio on. Turn the radio back off. While holding the "VFO"
  24. button, turn the radio back on. Release the button and turn the radio
  25. back off. While holding the "MR" buton, turn the radio on.
  26.  
  27. 5. Turn the radio off and on again. This completes the mod. The radio
  28. now transmits from 130 to 179.995 MHz!
